Snow day

2:30 p.m. Friday
Skeptically waiting on the big storm … warnings and weather alerts rampant.
3:30 p.m. Friday
It begins. Tiny little flakes … but it seems determined.
5:30 p.m. Friday
Yeah … there’s a snowstorm out there. Should we continue with our plans for the evening? Sure, why not. After all, it’s only snow.
8:30 a.m. Saturday
I measured 16.25 inches … tried not to get a drift, they’re even deeper.
We did make it home last night. The going was slow, but steady. Quite the midnight winter wonderland adventure.
The best part?
Our little stretch of County Road 10. It hadn’t been scraped since the snow began. Still hasn’t been cleared, as a matter of fact.
But that’s ok.
We like to forge new paths.
And snow angels.

It is a fairyland here too! Nor sure how much as there is grass showing in spots but a drift at least 4 feet tall on top of the garage roof. Looking forward to staying home today! Maybe I’ll go out and play in the snow later!
