Exploring Antique Archaeology in Nashville

Antique Archaeology in Nashville, Tenn.

You know the show American Pickers, right? It’s a show on History channel that follows the exploratory tales of Mike and Frank, and their junk hunts across America. The pair happens to have a store in downtown Nashville. It’s tucked away in a place called Marathon Village (more on that tomorrow!) and boy, oh boy is it cool!

The girls were astonished at all of the stuff inside Antique Archaeology. Something awesome adorned every surface, including the ceiling. Some pieces are for sale and others are not. I made it out with a T-shirt and a bumper sticker. The sticker will be applied to the back of my grocery-getter. It’ll fit right in with the Yellowstone National Park, homeschooling and NRA stickers currently adorning the back window. My brother says I’m one step away from ‘hippie’ with all of my vehicular messages!

If I’m a hippie, these girls are hippie chicks. Aren’t they snazzy in their boots? Mother-daughter dates are so much fun!

My T-shirt is gray and says In Rust We Trust!  It’s perfect for antiquing and days of searching for junk to put in my trunk!

My Antique Archaeology T-shirt has a big rooster on it and touts "In Rust I Trust." It's perfect for antiquing!

That pig head is kinda creepy and it seems to appear in nearly every photo!

If you’re ever in downtown Nashville be sure to look up this awesome store in the midst of Marathon Village. It’s just a hop, skip and a jump from the hustle and bustle of downtown!
