Ready to explode

It’s amazing what a little baking soda and vinegar can do.

The kids have been making a volcano. First they mixed plaster and poured it into a mold. It took several days to dry as opposed to the recommended 24 hours. Something to do with the rainforest we seem to be inhabiting. It has rained daily and repeatedly for a week.

Everything is soggy, including our moods.

Today they will paint it. The inaugural eruption is planned for this evening, after supper.

Why not kick-off summer with a big bang, right?

That’s our theory, anyway.
