Decadence: Pumpkin waffles

Pumpkin waffles with cinnamon whipped cream.

There are really no words to describe these except … yum. So rather than waste energy on coming up with some, you should just head to the kitchen and make these now. Find out for yourself. Here’s the recipe … thanks to the ingenuity of Farmguy and my middle daughter. Enjoy!

   

Farmguy’s Pumpkin Waffles

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder 
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine in another bowl:
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
1-15 oz. canned pumpkin

Combine wet mixture with flour mixture. Cook batter in small batches in your waffle maker.
Makes 18-20 4-inch waffles.

Cinnamon Whipped Cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Whisk to desired stiffness or use a whisk attachment in your mixer and
beat until stiff peaks form.

Place waffles on a plate, top with maple syrup and a dollop of whipped cream.
Lightly dust with cinnamon.
