Art is born of the investigation and observation of nature.
My oldest spent the week at Art Camp making collages and plaster masks, experimenting with different painting techniques, writing during nature walks, and basically having a marvelous time. On the final day of camp, the kids hosted an art reception for parents. Their projects were displayed gallery-style. The work was so very impressive!
The masks were incredible!
And I am thankful for these ladies, whose love of beauty and creativity and children prompts them to donate a week of their lives to the antics and aspirations of young people. Art Camp and Music Camp are held each summer at Bluebird Farm Park by the Carroll County Arts Center.
Every artist dips his brush in his own soul,
and paints his own nature into pictures.
