Spring dreaming

I found this photo on Google Images. Isn’t it gorgeous? Landscaped and intentional yet still natural and relaxed and amazing. I love it. It makes me want to get busy on some spring projects and sink my fingers into dirt.

It’s been a mild winter with very little snow but the kids and I are battling cabin fever anyway. Yesterday we were in the barn planning and dreaming of modifications. The girls rode horses in the pasture while the little man among us practiced his BB gun accuracy (supervised, of course). We’re all itching for longer, warmer, sunnier days.

I find myself laying in bed at night, my mind busy with ideas for a better chicken coop, plans for the patio and more. I’m silently selecting garden plants in my head. It’s a messed up jumble of daydreams … at night. How about you?

What spring projects top your list?

I could envision that very picture at your place if you flipped the picture, tried it on the south side as you come out of the lower level. Or maybe as is coming from the barn.
Our garden seeds sit in a box, waiting for warmer soil temps, but have a diagram for the garden in my mind. Turning over ideas to keep deer from raiding it once it is reality. Oh, to get those first green veggies! Soon it will be thyme to start those seeds indoors. Always dreaming up plans for a cold frame or greenhouse!

I am dreaming of spring also! First on my list is to paint our entry and pipe fencing. Then on to plants and cleaning barn and fun stuff!!
