Spa day with the giggle sisters

fingernail polish

We finished our annual educational testing today and the girls were in a mood to celebrate. Apparently they were so happy to be done with pages and pages of questions that they felt I deserved a day at the spa. They pulled me into the room, handed me a robe and made me put my hair in a towel. Then the shenanigans and giggles began. What did they find so funny?

For one thing, we were out of face cream and cucumbers …

Spa day

So they used shaving cream and spinach leaves. I’m not sure if the spinach helped my eyelids or not, but I can tell you the shaving cream started to sting after a bit and we quickly wiped it off. I look like I have wind burn.

The massage was magnificent, however. Lots of moisturizing lotion followed by hand and foot massages. Lovely!

Cotton balls and nail polish

And of course my day at the Giggle Sisters Spa was not complete without custom nail and toenail colors. And candles … lots and lots of candles.

Aaahhh. It’s nice to be pampered.

Thanks, Becky. I had an epiphany the other day … in six years the oldest will be getting ready for college. COLLEGE! In six short years! Yikes.

You know that quote … “Being a mother is to have your heart go walking around outside of your body” … or something like that.

I would like to point out that you titled this post “the giggle SISTERS” and not “siblings”…a few Mondays ago, I told your Farmboy he could paint my toenails. Lucky for you (& your floors) we did it outside. Lucky for me it hasn’t really been flipflop weather yet!!
