Fly by night

Air Force cargo plane

I heard them coming …

Youngstown Ohio Air Force plane

Every Tuesday evening they fly by … usually two planes heading to Youngstown. Sometimes they’re close, sometimes they rattle the windows. Tonight they were so close I’d bet the pilot could make out the crazy woman in purple pajamas who frantically grabbed the camera and darted into the night to capture the evening air disturbance.

Cool. Kind of awesome.ย That’s all there is to say.

I don’t know what they’re doing or where they’re coming from or who or what is on board. But I’m thankful they’re up there … doing what they do to protect crazy ladies in pajamas and screaming kids and frantically barking dogs of the U.S.A.

And away they went. See you next Tuesday, boys.

My husband’s cousin flies for the air force from Youngstown every week for something, but I don’t now much more than that.

I have a picture of them flying over United High School on my way home from a meeting last night! I was taking photos of the gorgeous sunset just as they flew through. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have heard that they fly down to Dayton for maintenance on the planes. We enjoy hearing/seeing/feeling them fly over our place in Louisville as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great pictures! I remember those planes flying over my house a couple times a week when I was growing up.

Amazing pictures! Did you get the new camera? How do you like it? I’m looking into getting a new one. Something about millitary planes gets my heart going! ( even if they are going slow) I also adore prop planes! American Power!
