Rest for the weary

“An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

It’s the weekend. You may be at work. You may be working in a field, the garden or house. You may have plans, errands, laundry or another task that gobbles time and leaves you with a feeling of urgency to accomplish before Monday rolls around.

But it’s the weekend.

Rest. Listen. Ponder. Be still.

Something small and seemingly unimportant.

Something that is unique and diverse and a tiny miracle.

Take a walk in the woods or field, or simply down the sidewalk.

Urgency will pause.

Irritation will ease.

Replaced with wonder.

Enjoy the weekend.

Take just a moment.

Go exploring! You may enjoy these previous posts.
