Sharing gifts for the season
I love the annual church Christmas program. All of the kids play their parts and deliver their lines with grins and giggles and plain old orneriness. They even sang happy birthday to Jesus … with a cake!
There was a piano trio for Away In A Manger.
There was a newly formed trio of beginning guitar and mandolin students. They played O Come All Ye Faithful.
There were these two … I can’t really
define confine them with words.
Ah, yes. The scarlet letter … for “A” cute but ornery little cuss or “A” decidedly incorrigible youngster or quite simply, “A” for antagonist. Take your pick, they’re all quite fitting. Just don’t think for a moment that his letter “A” stands for angel.
There’s nothing quite like the children’s Christmas program. Maybe not The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, but always the best way to put everybody in mind of the reason for the season.
