Pasture slip and slide
I sent them outside because 60 degrees in January — while increasingly common this year — is usually uncommon. It wasn’t long before shouts and squeals and laughter carried on the breeze. Last Friday’s mad snowstorm yielded a fluffy covering for the weekend that melted quickly on Monday. But there’s still a patch of ice coming from a drain in the pasture. And ohhhhh, the fun slippin’ and slidin’ to be had.
Not to sound like I’m reporting from the Farmer’s Almanac, but it was 62 degrees here in eastern Ohio early this morning. There’s a balmy breeze blowing, too. Never fear … the forecast promises 25 degrees and snowing tomorrow!
