Fridays are for tending to
… the scattered, strewn and stacked.
Fridays are for tending to the traffic jams that occurred on Thursday evening because everyone was going in a different direction … and no one stopped to manage the mess.
Fridays are for fresh and clean and ordered and preparations for a restful weekend.
And Fridays are for finishing book reports …
… and vocabulary and mathematics for the week.
Fridays are for making adjustments and noting the week’s progress.
Fridays are for picking up and putting away …
… for tidying up and turning off.
Fridays are the blessed end to a productive and busy week. Fridays are for slowly transitioning into a peaceful, easy feeling … for breathing and contemplating and stopping — finally stopping the rush — to see what’s been right beside us every day, all along.
Happy weekend, friends. Tend.
