Father’s Day Fix-Up and A Giveaway

What’s dirty, dusty, sweaty and on occasion … stinky?

My husband, working hard to be the best dad in the world.

Your dad. Or my dad (s). Or my husband … he’s also a dad.

Dads work hard, play hard and they’re hard on clothing. They wear out work boots, break in ball caps, and have been known to walk around ripped, torn and slightly cantankerous. Protecting a pretty new shirt or favorite pair of jeans is never high on the priority list. They don’t think about clothes, they just wear them. And buying a more comfortable shirt in the midst of a steamy, hot summer is a thought that doesn’t cross his mind. Instead, he may instinctively grab a pocket knife and slice his way to air conditioning.

Listen up, ladies. I’m talking to you!

The Dads in our lives need help. Desperately!  But don’t worry — I know just what to do.

My husband, the father to my children, is exactly as you described. He wears clothes. Little to no thought is needed. Jeans and a tshirt. If it’s winter he will add a flannel. It matters not the condition and yes he has used a pocket knife to adapt winter clothing to summer. I guess, if I had to sum up a “style”, it would be “care free”! 🙂

My husband has better clothing style than I do. I am much more likely to be the one “just wearing clothes” than he. He is always put together. It’s one thing (among many) that I love about him.

My husband is more the “wear whatever happens to be clean – or at least mostly clean” kinds of guy. In the summer, cargo shorts are def a fave for him. 🙂

You have seen the father to my children farm- anything goes. If he retires from his day job, you may see him wearing suit pants on the tractor. No “outfit” is too outrageous when he hits the pasture. He was so excited a couple of years ago when I found him new Jorts (jean shorts). I hope Farmers Wear Daily never comes to interview him!

The father of my children is only short wearing when fishing or hiking. The rest of the time he’s a jeans and clunky muck boots man. But we still love him!

My husband likes to work in old clothes. The older, the better. Stained and full of holes? Perfect. He stubbornly keeps them longer than anyone should.

Cargo shorts with work boots have made it as an essential part of my farm guy’s summer wardrobe! Sometimes the boots don’t even make it and it is crocs. He is easing up in his old age. LOL!

My Dad was a work pant and work shirt kind of guy! My husband is a bib and t-shirt fella after the last frost of the year until the snow flies and then it’s back into the long underwear and insulated bibs! …. All that except on Saturday night and then it’s jeans and a shirt for him.
P.S. for Father’s Day he just received 2 new pair of bibs!

My husband always sees the duluth commercials and said “those clothes look like they would be perfect for my work!” He wears his jeans out so quickly, I’d love to get him to try the Duluth ones 🙂

My husband is a work clothes kind of guy…. he likes his wranglers, t-shirts and his boots… my son is following in his footsteps… regardless of what they are wearing they always wear a belt and have their shirts tuck in. They always look nice regardless if they have been in the pasture, chicken house or just getting back from the feed store…. that is what I like about my guys….

My dad likes to wear t-shirts and jeans. He likes to work outside and garden, so comfort is important to him.

My hubby loves carpenter jeans/shorts! Every time he gets a new shirt or pants, I beg him not to change the oil wearing them…doesn’t always work tho!

My hubby seems to be most comfy in worn out jeans, holey t’s and flannel shirts with well worn work boots. Just try getting him to part with his old clothes!

My husband has to wear a suit and tie to work, so he dresses way down at home in sweats or something similar.

My hubby invented khaki pants and cargo shorts. Or at least that’s what he tells me!! Happy Dad’s Day to all our great men.

My dad was a rough and rugged farm boy, and a strong and brave Marine; on the other hand my husband could always use some new clothes!

My husband is rarely found indoors. He is always fixing something, building something or cleaning something outside. His work ethic and energy level amaze me. He goes through shoes, jeans and boots faster than anyone else I know. And old t-shirts seem to suit him just fine.

My dad used to live on a bigger property and was always digging fenceposts, mowing down weeds or tending the animals. Even now he still does a lot of outside work and like well-made, sturdy clothes.
