Hot and Spicy Giveaway

Using Spicy Shelf

I’ve been cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen cupboards. It’s not a task for the faint of heart. People place the oddest things in my kitchen drawers. I found a hoof pick, fishing worms (the plastic kind!) and fingernail clippers. None of those items should be stored in my kitchen — I made a point of saying so.

Anywho, I want to share something simple that will rock your world and change your spice cabinet. Maybe you’re already organized. Maybe you have a fancy schmancy spice drawer that keeps all those little bottles and jars orderly and marching on. Not me. My seasonings are shoved into a narrow cabinet and it’s always a matter of unloading half the bottles to find the desired spice. But not any more!

I was a bit skeptical that something as seemingly simple as Spicy Shelf could make such a difference, but I accepted an offer to try it out. I’m sold. The shelves are fully adjustable by width and height. They’re sturdy and capable of holding all sorts of sizes, too. You can stack them or place them side by side in larger cabinets. And I know it’s for spices, but imagine the possibilities in the bathroom or craft room!

So here’s the deal … the kind folks at Spicy Shelf have also offered a set of shelves to one of you, dear readers! Check out their website for a quick view of the product. Really, it’s awesome. To enter for the chance to win:

  1. Leave a comment, below, that describes the current state of your spice cupboard/drawer/mess on the countertop. And also, what’s your favorite spice for cooking (besides S&P) — I’m curious!
  2. Don’t forget to include a valid e-mail address so I can contact you if you win!

All entrants must be 18 years of age and a U.S. resident. Enter by 11:59 eastern time on Thursday, July 31. Winner chosen by random draw and announced on Friday, Aug. 1!

My spice area consists of 2 shelves of higgledy piggledy jumble of this and that thrown together. I also have a low cabinet for my overstock that won’t fit there. I try to organize it occasionally. It always goes back to the way it is now. (sigh). My very favorite spice is cumin. I can go through a big 7 oz container in 6 months.

Thanks for offering this. It looks like the solution to my problem.

The current state of my spice cabinet could be labeled “troubled”. It is the top part of my age old Hoosier cabinet. I do organize and it lasts only a very short time, unfortunately. Maybe shelves for these small bottles would help!

My favorite spice/added ingredient would be garlic.

My cabinet area where my spices live looks like my spices exploded. They are stacked on top of each other and sometimes fall out and hits me in the head. So a little organization is very much needed in my spice area.

This spice shelf is something that i need. My favorite spice that I use the most is garlic powder.

Thanks for the offer this is a great give-a-way.

There is comfort in knowing I am not alone in disarray. My little corner cupboard that house my spices is a confused mess. I have to unload half of it to try and find what I am looking for. Most the time I have my husband or son find it for me. I have tried lazy susan’s and the bottles just end up falling off, creating a whole different kind of chaos.

My favorite spice to cook with is Montreal Steak Seasoning. I use it on everything from meat to potatoes.

Thank you for a great opportunity! 🙂

I have most of my spices in a drawer and I write the name of the spice with indelible ink on the top of the jar so I can see what I have. It works fairly well, but it’s still kinda messy. I love adobo spice, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. I like spicy!
