Saying Goodbye to July
Oh, that color! How blessed am I, that my eyes have opportunity to stare at such indescribable magnificence … such stunningly sensational displays! I find it hard to believe that anyone, anywhere, could stare into this wild blue yonder set aflame and question the existence of God.
It’s easy to think, “What must heaven be like? How much more incredible could it be than this?”
And then I see. Here we are surrounded by the cutting edge of sin. We are prickled with pain and sliced raw with sorrow. But with God all things are possible. Even in the shadow of ripping uncertainty we catch glimpses of glory. Be wary of the thorns, but stand firm, absolutely amazed in His presence!
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. ~ Psalm 37:1-3
