Recipe and Hamilton Beach Mixer Giveaway

Puffy Apple Oven Pancake Pie

My oldest discovered this recipe for Puffy Apple Oven Pancake. She makes it when the mood strikes or an occasion calls for special breakfast food. We cut it into slices like pie, and dust with powdered sugar. It’s absolutely delightful with a cup of coffee (or glass of milk, as the case may be!). The ingredients come together quickly, especially when using a hand mixer. And speaking of hand mixers …

The Hamilton Beach 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Pulse and Snap-On Case is a wonderful tool to have in your kitchen. The folks at Hamilton Beach asked me to try it out, and I have to say I love it! The mixer is great for quick and simple recipes, but it has enough power for bulkier blending jobs, too. It comes with six attachments: twisted wire beaters, milkshake mixer, dough hooks, and whisk. Don’t fear misplacing one of the beaters. The snap-on case makes storage a cinch. Best of all: the cord fits into the case, too. It’s a tidy appliance that can easily be stored in small spaces. You can learn all about it here. And you can enter for the chance to win one, below!

My food related resolution is to stop drinking carbonated beverages and cut back significantly on eating out. Paired with the eating out resolution, we want to start making more meals at home, particularly from scratch.

My food resolution is to eat healthier. I’d really like to cut out fried foods, eating out so much for convenience, and drinking so much pop.
